South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS) has requested the renewal of utilizing the VERA Analyzer software to automate the inpatient audit process. The VERA Audit Detail Report automates the audit process for 20+ inpatient categories, reducing time to determine if coding changes should be made or if queries should be sent. Installation and system configuration will be performed remotely by the Nuance Technical Services Team over one day and will require an IRM point of contact to work with the team. One VA staff member will also need access at the SSN level to ARC reports to pull an initial import file from the ARC (standard report). Subsequently, recommended on a monthly basis, the VERA Coordinator will need to access the ARC to run an import file and update the Clintegrity 360 VERA Analyzer database. Nuance is also to provide implementation, project management, and VERA Analyzer Training Services for the product. The C&A requirements do not apply, and a Security Accreditation Package is not required. PERFORMANCE PERIOD: June 1, 2020 May 31, 2021 (Base plus 4 option years) SOLUTION DESCRIPTION Clintegrity 360 l VERA Analyzer will help you target inpatient admissions that may need coding revisions or clinical documentation improvements to ensure a patient is assigned to the appropriate VERA Patient Class and Price Group. Identifying these cases and making coding changes could potentially improve your facility s ability to capture full VERA funding. KEY FEATURES AND HIGHLIGHTS Save time identifying potential coding changes. The VERA Audit Detail Report automates the audit process for 20+ inpatient categories, reducing time to determine if coding changes should be made or if queries should be sent. Quickly and easily access Patient Class and Price Group data. VERA Patient Class and Price Group data is readily accessible and viewable for each patient within the product. There is no need to do a lookup in another application. Support full VERA funding. Clintegrity 360 | VERA Analyzer enhances coding precision, so the appropriate VERA Patient Class is assigned to capture full funding for patients. Enhance clinical documentation improvement efforts. Clintegrity 360 | VERA Analyzer contributes to clinical documentation improvement efforts by suggesting when queries should be considered. Monitor coding s impact on VERA funding over time. The VERA Audit Impact Report helps to easily determine if coding changes improve VERA funding over time. Accurately identify cases for review. VERA data can be refreshed and immediately available giving you the most up-to-date VERA class information needed to accurately flag cases for review. Information Systems Officer, Information Protection: The contractor will not have access to VA Desktop computers nor will they have access to online resources belonging to the government while conducting services. Privacy Officer: The contractor will not have access to Patient Health Information (PHI) nor will they have the capability of accessing patient information during the services provided to the VA.� All research data available for Contractor analyses is de-identified.
