Amendment 0001� amends the solicitation as followed: 1. Extends the bid due date to Tuesday 19 May 2020 at 2:00PMEST.. 2. Request for Information (RFI) Responses for NUWC Building 1171 Replace Basement Comfort Chillers Solicitation Number: �N4008520B3324 Project Title:� Building 1171 Replace Basement Comfort Chillers Location:� Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport, Rhode Island 02841 Solicitation issued as an Invitation for Bid (Bid) and 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside.� The project consists of Base Bid only.� The Government shall award contract to the lowest price, responsive, and responsive bidder.� All documents for the solicitation available at https://beta.sam.gov. Description of Work: Work shall include the removal of existing Multistack chiller, and replacement of two existing Trane chiller units. The Multistack unit may be removed at any time while the Trane units shall be removed during a non-cooling period of roughly October 1st to April 1st because the units are unable to be isolated from the rest of the system. The multistack chiller removal shall include the removal of unit. Removal of all piping back to furthest isolation valve by cutting and capping without disrupting the existing system. The removal of all conduit and wiring back to the nearest junction box, to remain in service, and the return of the electrical control panel back to the government. The Trane chiller replacement shall include the removal of the two Trane units and equipment pads. The installation of the new 90-ton Trane units, including pipe rerouting, pipefittings, insulation, conduit and wiring to control center, and DDC controls. DDC controls shall conform to the Set Points and Sequence provided. Access point for equipment removal and entry into the space is a two-piece removable louver roughly 74� tall by 86� wide which shall be reinstalled at the end of each workday. Bids due 2:00 PM, EST, on�19 May 2020.
