- INDIAN BUTTE FENCE REPLACEMENT 2020: The BLM office in Belle Fourche S.D. has a requirement to furnish labor, equipment, supplies and materials to reconstruct a 4-wire barbed and 5-wire barbed fence (bottom smooth wire). This requirement is to construct 2,444 rods of new barbed 4-wire fence (bottom smooth wire) with 3 steel posts to 1 wood post ratio; construct 809 rods of barbed 5-wire fence (bottom smooth wire) with 3 steel posts to 1 wood post ratio; and to remove approximately 3,253 rods of woven wire fence. All specifications, requirements, drawings etc. will be included in the solicitation which is anticipated to be posted on/about May 15, 2020. Response date for the quotes will be on/about June 15, 2020. Work under this contract is located at Carter County Montana and Butte County South Dakota. Davis Bacon Wage Rates are applicable in both States. Work is anticipated to start by end of June 2020 or as soon as ground conditions warrant. Contractor shall have 103 days from Notice to Proceed to complete the project. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 238990. This is a total set aside for Small Business Concerns. The small business size standard is $16.5 million. Estimated price range is between $25,000 and $250,000. A 100% payment protection will be required for contracts greater than $35,000. Payment protection shall be due within 10 days upon notification of our intent to make award. Prospective contractors shall be registered System Award Management (SAM) prior to award. Lack of registration in the SAM database or failure to submit all required quote information as identified in the upcoming solicitation may make an quotor ineligible for award. Information on SAM can be found online at www.beta.sam.gov. All questions regarding this requirement must be submitted in writing to rundlin@blm.gov at least seven business days before closing. Quote packages shall be submitted electronically at www.fedconnect.net unless other arrangements are pre-approved in writing with the Contracting Officer.
