- 36C25520Q0381 This Sources Sought Notice is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered as an invitation for bid, request for quotation, request for proposal, or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. Your response to this Sources Sought Notice will be treated as information only. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses to this announcement or the Government use of such information. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated, or received for this effort. The information provided may be used by the Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Heartland Network 15, Contracting Office (NCO 15) in developing its acquisition approach, statement of work/statement of objectives and performance specifications. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Sources Sought Notice or to otherwise pay for the information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Notice. The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 15 is conducting market research to determine industry capabilities for providing Powered air purifying respirators (PAPR) kit and supplies, specifically COVID-19. This is a Request for Information only and not a solicitation for award. The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 15 understands this is a fluid situation where the landscape of availability is constantly changing. The primary purpose of this announcement is to identify potential sources, product offerings, availability and/or challenges to procuring and obtaining such items to rapidly meet emerging requirements. Therefore, to the extent practical, additional market research may be conducted prior to posting any solicitation to capture the snapshot of the availability at that specific point in time. The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 15, urges those companies that can provide the following category of items to respond even after the initial response due date of May 15, 2020, 2:00 PM, CST. Description: The Department of Veterans Affairs is asking vendors capable of providing the following requirements.� This is not a formal solicitation or an award.� The government reserves the right to determine based on the responses whether to compete, award some, all or nothing as a result of this notice. STATEMENT OF REQUIRMENTS Powered air purifying respirators (PAPR) kit and supplies Must be easy to use and versatile system for particulate environments in and out of a healthcare setting. Must be a complete set up, meaning hood assembly, adjustable breathing tube, PAPR unit, belt, battery (high capacity), a charger, airflow indicator, wide visual field, light weight (not over 10 pounds), and filter. Must have Medium/Large and Small/Medium size. Must have two flow rate 6.5 CFM and a 7.2 CFM. Must be easy to clean, store, and maintain. Must have two types of alarms, one audible and one visual. These alarms will alert you when you have a low battery or a low flow which indicates filter is fully loaded. Must have LED light located on the battery to indicate charge status. Must have a manual one per unit. Supplies; headcovers, med/lg, sm/med size, adjustable breathing tube, belt, high capacity battery, filters, charger, and breathing cover. SHIPPING REQUIREMENT: Items must be available to be shipped within 7 - 10 days of award. The government is seeking a firm-fixed, FOB destination requirement.� Delivery will be to the following Medical Centers: John Cochran VAMC 915 North Grand Blvd. St. Louis, MO 63106 Kansas City VAMC 4801 Linwood Blvd. Kansas City, MO 64128 Marion VAMC 2401 West Main Street Marion, IL 62959 John J. Pershing VAMC 1500 North Westwood Blvd. Poplar Bluff, MO 63901 Any firm who believes they can provide the above Powered air purifying respirators (PAPR) kit and/or supplies, should respond to this notice with written notification to the Contracting Officer. Responses to this sources sought notice shall include at a minimum a capabilities statement and the company DUNS number. Please respond to Frank Novello via email for any questions at frank.novello@va.gov. Initial responses are requested by May 15, 2020, 2:00 PM, CST. However, The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 15, urges those companies that can provide the PAPR or supplies to respond even after the initial response due date of May 15, 2020, 2:00 PM, CST. will accept any and all responses received after this date and time for any ongoing requirements. .
