Description

The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) has a requirement for forklift tines Caterpillar Part Number 454-5838. The Caterpillar 926M Wheel Loader (Rough Terrain Forklift) was received in 2018. Its use has been limited due to the effort it takes for exact alignment during operation. The current configuration of the Fork Attachment requires that each 450lb fork be manually moved to its correct position during forklift operations. Also, due to the lack of hydraulics, we do not have the ability to use a side shift function. Purchasing a new Hydraulic Adjustable Fork Attachment will greatly reduce the amount of time needed for alignment with cargo, minimize the risk of damage to cargo while attempting to load, and minimize the risk of injury to personnel attempting to manually move the forks during operation. Said forklift forks are required to support the MDA Logistics Support Directorate, Operations� (MSL) Packaging, Handling, & Storage (PHS) support to the Agency. This RFQ is for Small Businesses. No information concerning this RFP�or requests for clarification will be provided via telephone calls.
