Description
**Bid Results posted on 5/6/20, see Attachments/Links section. ** ***Please note due to technical difficulties within our Contract Writing System that Amendment 0002 is incorrectly labeled as Amendment 0012, please disregard this and consider it to be Amendment 0002*** � The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Pittsburgh District has a requirement for the Installation of a Waterway Safety Boom at Allegheny River Lock and Dam No. 2.� The project at Allegheny River Lock & Dam No. 2 includes furnishing and installing the boom anchorage system; installing the floating boom system; furnishing and installing a barrel storage rack system on land; and minor land-based site improvements. It should be noted that the floating boom materials will be�provided as Government Furnished Materials. The boom anchorage system is expected to be comprised of approximately twenty precast concrete gravity anchors to be placed on the river bed; anchors are expected to weigh up to 10 tons each. The barrel storage rack system will require site work to include site grading with imported soil fill, installation of new chain link security fence around boom storage area and relocation of the existing sliding gate and electric operator. Install concrete pad, remove existing guardrail and repair existing damaged sign posts on lock walls. Install new Government furnished sign panels on repaired and existing posts. This procurement will be Firm Fixed Price and will be a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. The period of performance for the contract is 365�days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The estimated cost of the proposed work is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. All responsible offerors are encouraged to participate. In order to receive notification of any amendments to this solicitation, interested vendors must register as an interested vendor on the https://beta.sam.gov/ website. If you are not registered, the Government is not responsible for providing notification of any changes to this solicitation. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database PRIOR to submitting a proposal for any federal contract. Registration is free at www.sam.gov
