- This project consists of the re-painting of the historic Ute Fire Lookout Tower on the Ashley National Forest. The Lookout Tower is on the National Register of Historic Places and will conform to the requirements of the Secretary of the Interior�s Standards and Guidelines for the Treatment of Historic Properties. The project is located on the Flaming Gorge Ranger District of the Ashley National Forest, Daggett County, Utah.� It is located approximately 51 miles North-West of Vernal Utah near Flaming Gorge Reservoir. The final stretch of road may require the removal of vegetation and will require consultation of the Forest Service to allow access for large equipment. Start: Summer 2020 POP: 30 Days Project Magnitude:� Between $25,000 and $100,000. Lead-based paint abatement has been performed.� A report will be provided. 4/22:� Added documents.� Solicitation will be posted on/around Monday, May 4th. 4/30:� The road to the project site will not be accessible for about 7-10 days (mud).� Deadline for quotes extended.
