Background/Overview: The U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine (USARIEM), located at 10 General Greene Ave in Natick, MA 01760.USARIEM is requesting to purchase 2,500 FORT test kits and 2,500 FORD Test Kits; to process these tests we request 8 CR3000 machines each equipped with 3 independent reading rooms (cells) and able to function as an independent unit (no software required), and 8 mini centrifuges able to spin square based cuvettes (10X10mm) and conical tubes (1.5ml) simultaneously. The FORT and FORD tests are requested because of our requirement to obtain oxidation-reduction state through blood analysis. The products requested will support a DHP funded research grant, in which we proposed to use measures of oxidative stress and injury outcomes during Basic Combat Training to establish whether there is a relationship and ultimately determine whether measures of oxidative stress can predict and eventually prevent musculoskeletal injuries. The products must be delivered by September 30, 2020
