- The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground � Natick Contracting Division on behalf of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities and Development Command (CCDC), Soldier Performance Optimization Division (SPOD) intends to procure on a sole source basis under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements � Abbott Laboratories iSTAT Analyzer System. �The Government�s requirement is for a commercial, off-the-shelf iSTAT Analyzer System that consists of three Hand held blood analyzers, one hand held blood analyzer downloader and recharger kit, three Hand held blood analyzer printer kits, four 500 box dispensing tips to be used with lithium heparin tubes 300 CG4+ cartridges, 300 Chem8+ cartridges, one TriControls Control level 1,700 CG4+ Cartridges, 1,700 Chem8+ Cartridges, two TriControls Control Level I. The Analyzer System must be portable with rechargeable battery, and must test human blood. �All printers and charging stations must be compatible with the portable blood analyzer, and portable themselves. This is needed to support the MASTR-E Program. Abbott Laboratories is the only contractor that manufactures an iSTAT Analyzer System that meets all the Government�s requirements.� There are other analyzer systems on the market but none of them meet the Government�s requirements except for Abbott Laboratories.� Natick Contracting is anticipating awarding this contract to Abbott Laboratories, 200 Abbott Park Rd, Abbott Park, IL 60064. Abbott Laboratories is the only capable company of providing an iSTAT Analyzer System that meets the Government�s requirements. A Firm Fixed Price Contract will be issued. This is not a request for quotes.� No solicitation package is available.� Any responses to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.� A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.� The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516.� Inquiries and responses may be sent to Shawn Haubner, Contract Specialist, via email at shawn.p.haubner.civ@mail.mil no later than 23 May 2020 @ 12:00PM EST.
