- The Albuquerque NM VA Medical Center Cooperative Studies Program (CSP), Clinical Research Pharmacy Coordinating Center (CRPCC), intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Korsch America for a XM-12 System and components to support research studies at their facility. The Korsch XM-12 Tablet Press with Bi-layer conversion kit will allow the user to manufacture bi-layer tablets, reducing the number of tablets a patient is required to take because the tablet and contain multiple pharmaceuticals. The existing tooling and system configuration files are compatible between current equipment and the new equipment. For continuity of research, the same configuration is required. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement and who is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller of all the items listed above, may submit a capability statement to the contracting office to the contracting office no later than Thursday, May 11, 2020 11PM EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Elaine DiBucci at elaine.dibucci@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
