Description

Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10, the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Procurement Office is currently conducting market research to identify companies capable of and qualified to provide approximately 200,000 masks (as an initial quantitiy) for both adult and child/youth size and gaiters in child/youth sizes.� See the attached Statement of Minimum Specifications for details concerning the items for which we are conducting this research. The Government is seeking information concerning the availability for sale and delivery of masks, gaiters, and/or other similar prophylactic facial coverings for use by employees and students (grades K-12) in its DoD schools. The intent is for these items to be used to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus among students, teachers and staff in DoDEA schools and offices. Interested, capable contractors responding to this RFI should review the attached Statement of Minimum Specifications and provide answers to the questions asked in the attached questionnaire. DoDEA has schools in various locations in the United States, Guam, Korea, Japan, European regions, Turkey, Bahrain, Puerto Rico, and Naval Station Guantanamo Bay Cuba. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued solely for the purpose of conducting market research and does not constitute a Request for Proposals (RFP), Invitation for Bids (IFB), or Request for Quotations (RFQ), and does not obligate the Government to any current or future commitments. The Government will not pay/reimburse any costs or charges resulting from contractors' responses to this RFI. Firms responding to this Sources Sought Notice are requested to provide DoDEA with a detailed capability statement supporting its ability to fulfil the requirement listed herein as well as a completed copy of the attached questionnaire via e-mail. The capability statements shall not exceed four (4) pages and must include the following: 1) Company name and Point of Contact information (address, telephone, e-mail, web-site, etc.); 2) DUNS number and CAGE code; and 3) Familiarity and service knowledge. Responses to this Sources Sought notice are due at 12:00 PM Eastern Time on Tuesday, 12 May 2020, and are to be submitted electronically to: tresa.goodwin@dodea.edu.� E-mail submissions and inquiries shall include ""HE1254-20-R-MASK"" in the subject line. Telephone calls regarding this RFI will not be accepted. If a solicitation is later issued, it will be via beta.SAM.gov Contract Opportunities (FBO). It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor the website for any information that may pertain to this Sources Sought Notice or a future solicitation. Feedback and/or evaluation information will not be provided to any firm regarding their individual capability statements in response to this Sources Sought Notice. Please note, while responses from vendors not currently registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database will be accepted and evaluated, only businesses with an active SAM registration will be eligible to receive contracts that may arise out of the research being conducted with this RFI.
