- Description
- The U.S. Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Contracts and Procurement Division has awarded a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) to The Whitestone Group for providing Protective Force Services at the Albuquerque Complex. Whitestone is a Large firm that has graduated out of the 8(a) small business classification. Whitestone has been previously performing the required services to NNSA through the Small Business Administration�s 8(a) program (which it is now graduated from the 8(a)), and it is the only known source that can currently provide the qualified �Q� cleared personnel in order to perform the necessary services at the Albuquerque Complex.� Whitestone, is the only contractor that can provide these services immediately in the timeframe identified to support this interim bridge contract. Whitestone�s active knowledge of the AC operating environment, along with its Q-cleared personnel are essential to provide seamless performance and prevent any lapse in daily operations and services for the Albuquerque Complex occupants by providing badging, security and alarm monitoring protective force seervices. Award to any other contractor during this period of performance that can be up to a 12-month period (six-month base period with possible six one month options) would require a lengthy transition, and would cause severe delays and potential service disruptions to NNSA missions conducted at the AC. Continuity and with minimal impact to mission can only be obtained through performance by The Whitestone Group. The applicable NAICS is 561612 Security Guards and Patrol Services with a size standard of $22 million. This Limited Source Justification is being made available to the public in accordance with FAR 6.305(a).
