- Description
- The contractor must be able to rapidly and effectively recognize and characterize operational deficiencies and needs , and be able to work with operational users and technologists to define and deploy acceptable and achievable solutions. The contractor shall have the capacity to conduct necessary activities to apply advanced and emerging technologies to the specific areas of interest identified in this performance work statement. This includes the ability to develop, reproduce and field (including sustainment) equipment for demonstrations and field operational assessments (CONUS or i n-Theatre ). These may be for extended duration (up to 18 months). Solutions shall often be required to be applicable to allied, coalition, host nation or other international partners due to political realities and/or U.S. force resource limitations. Combatant Commands have a strong emphasis on partnership buil ding. However , International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) often restrict s the capability to share with their international paitners. Another objective of this contract will be to employ widely accessible technologies in the resulting solutions to the largest extent possible. This will help to enable partnership building capabilities in the global environment.
