- Description
- This is a notice of intent to sole source a procurement under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) � soliicting from a single source. The applicable NAICS Code is 238290. The USMC Regional Contracting Office (RCO) � Marine Corps Installations-National Capital Region (MCI-NCR) at Quantico Marine Corps Base, VA intends to award a sole source contract to: Overhead Doors Co. of Wahington, D. C. 6841 Distrobution Drive Beltsville, MD 20705-1404 The MCI-NCR RCO intends to award this requirement under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) to solicit from a single source for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold. This requirement is for the procurement of commercial bay doors repairs and ipgrades. The current bay door manufacture does not presently have any other sources to achieve the services needed by the requestin entity. Procurement planning for the follow-on effort is currently in process, and award is expected to be made on or around 22 May 2020, in accordance with fair opportunity under Far Part 13 procedures. The anticipated contract is for a period of performance of 30 days after reciept of order. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Capability statements or quotes, if received timely, will be considered; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses shall be emailed to angel.d.rodriguez@usmc.mil no later than 21 May 2020, 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time. Late responses will not be considered.
