- Page 4 of 4 This is a pre-solicitation announcement for the Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center, located in Ann Arbor, MI. An Invitation for Bid will be issued on https://beta.sam.gov/ website on Contract Opportunities about June 1st, 2020 for construction project no. 506-20-201 entitled ""Upgrade Building 1-West"" at the Ann Arbor Medical Center, 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48105. This announcement is a 100% total set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The VA is seeking a qualified Contractor to furnish all tools, equipment, material, permits, labor, and supervision necessary to accomplish, the work as provided in the contract documents, plans, and specifications, a summary of which is provided below: This project is located at the Ann Arbor VA Medical Center, 2215 Fuller Rd., Ann Arbor, 48105, Michigan. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, supervision, As-Built Documentation, and all other related information. Construction includes a complete renovation of the vacated Audiology space including all structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, interior design and all other aspects of the design to result in complete and usable spaces. Construction will adhere to all building codes and VA standards as well as LEED and Green facility design, the Plane Tree Model, and energy conservation. Period of Performance/Work Site: 180 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Work will likely commence Fall of 2020. Work site is First Floor of Building 1W at the Ann Arbor VA Medical Center, located at 2215 Fuller Rd., Ann Arbor, MI, 48105. Building 1 West: 1st floor, existing Audiology & ENT clinics approximately 4,200 S.F. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction and size standard $39.5 million applies. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, disclosure of the magnitude of this construction project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract within 120 days from bid receipt date. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers. No other information regarding scope, dates, etc. is available until issuance of the solicitation via CONTRACT OPPORTUNITIES. As authorized by FAR 5.102, solicitation dissemination is limited to electronic medium, and the VA will provide no hard copies. The solicitation, consisting of various bid documents, specifications, forms, and drawings will be available for download at no charge only from the CONTRACT OPPORTUNITIES website on or about June 1st, 2020, with a due date to be specified in the solicitation. Further details of all dates and events, including site visit and bid opening date, will be available in the solicitation.
