Description
Solicitation Number: W912HY20B0016 Project Title: USACE Galveston District, FY20 Sabine Neches Waterway (SNWW) Hopper Maintenance Dredging, Jefferson County, Texas� The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office requires a contract for: �USACE Galveston District, FY20 Sabine Neches Waterway (SNWW) Hopper Maintenance Dredging, Jefferson County, Texas� The work consists Dredging area of SNWW from offshore to Sabine Pass. Material dredged is to be placed in the offshore ODMDS sites. �Solicitation will include Base and dredging options, turtle trawling, and endangered species observers� requirement options. �Dredging Stations to include areas between offshore Stations 95+740 to 0+000 and Sabine Pass stations 0+00 to 296+24. �Estimated Quantities will be between 5 Million CY to 7 Million CY. The Bid schedule will be structured as Schedule One with 6 Optional Line Items, the 6th Option being an option for turtle trawling. Completion time for the project is as follows: 123 calendar days for Schedule 1;�23 additional days for Option 2;�39 additional days for Option 3;�28 days additional for Option 4;�and 18 additional days for Option 5 after receipt of�the Notice to Proceed. If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in the amount of $5,907.00 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted. The Solicitation will be Issued on or about 29 May 2020. Response date will be on or about 29 June 2020 (All bids must be submitted electronically per Section 00 21 00 of the solicitation). The estimated award date for this contract is projected to be on or about the week of 29 July 2020. The contractor will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within five (5) calendar days after award. �Contractor will be required to furnish Pre-Award documents within 5 days after Bid Opening. The contractor shall begin Work within ten (10) calendar days after acknowledgement of the Notice to Proceed. The Solicitation issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The order of magnitude for this effort is over $10,000,000.00. The solicitation is advertised as �UNRESTRICTED� full & open competition to both large and small businesses. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 237990. The Small Business Size Standard is $30 Million.
