- Description
- Section C - Descriptions and Specifications STATEMENT OF WORK Statement of Work 1. Former Air 4.4.2.2. requests the initiation of a contract for the procurement of an automated system to rate the percent area of damage on test specimens generated by the ASTM D665 test method. The specific equipment is model CT10 used to evaluate the ASTM D665 specimens which is manufactured by AD Systems. The equipment will be utilized to measure the corrosion resistance of test specimens implemented for the qualification of aviation turbine engine oils and helicopter gearbox oils. In order to ensure its continued operation, additional equipment is now required to analyze these specialized test specimens. 2. I am requesting the purchase of a CT10 instrument manufactured by Ad Systems. 3. The system should be capable of meeting the following performance characteristics. System should be able to operate fully automated after the specimen has been inserted into the instrument. The percentage of the corroded area of the D665 specimens should be calculated and reported. The instrument should capture images of 100% of the test specimen surface and create a flattened image of the entire specimen circumference.5 The instrument should use a constant light source for illuminating the specimens for imaging. The sample information should be able to be stored to each image. The sample images should be able to be stored on the instrument. The data stored on the instrument for images, sample information, and percent of area corroded should be able to be exported in a file format that can be utilized on another instrument that operates Windows10. 5. The instrument should be delivered to: ATTN- Jeff Ewin NAVAIR 22229 Elmer Rd., BLDG 2360 Patuxent River, MD 20670
