Description

Request for Information Basic and e-Journal Subscription Management Services Background The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Research Library is seeking a subscription agent to administer its serials subscription service.� Subscriptions are predominantly e-journals with a small number of hard copy titles.� The subscriptions will serve all staff at the NIST Gaithersburg, MD campus and the NIST Boulder, CO campus; e-journals will be accessible on NIST staff desktops; hard copy titles will reside in the Library Reading Room and stacks. The Library uses SirsiDynix as its Integrated Library System; EDI is not used.� The Library uses a Serials Solutions link resolver and the Proquest Intota ERM; it does not anticipate using the Contractor�s system to access electronic journals.� No. of Researchers (Users):� 2,100 No. of FTEs:� 3,300 2.� Purpose / Objective The purpose of the procurement is to obtain a Contractor to acquire and manage the NIST Research Library�s journal collection, both in print and electronic format and shall include e-journal management services - such as: set-up, maintain access, registration/activation, license agreement issues and related reports to enable effective management of the library�s collection including reports for collection development and management and� registration requirements.
