Description
Adams and Associates, Inc. is being awarded a contract for the operation of the New Hampshire Job Corps Center (JCC) with Outreach and Admissions for students from the state of New Hampshire and Career Transition Services for all students enrolled in the New Hampshire Job Corps Center, regardless of where the student returns or relocates after separation from other Job Corps Centers.� �� Job Corps is a national residential training and employment program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor to address the multiple barriers to employment faced by disadvantaged youth throughout the United States. Job Corps was originally established by the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964; current authorization for the program is the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, (WIOA), of 2014. Job Corps provides comprehensive career development services to students including academic, career technical, career success and independent living skills, career readiness training, and support services. The unique combination of services provided in Job Corps is intended to prepare youth to obtain and hold gainful employment, pursue further education or training, or satisfy entrance requirements for careers in the Armed Forces. The contractor shall operate the aforementioned JCC which includes provision of academic, career technical, career success and independent living skills, career readiness training, and support services.� The estimated total of students is 300 students of which 134 are residential male students and 134 are residential female students, 16 non-residential male students and 16 non-residential female students. �The contractor shall also operate residential quarters (housing) and services at the New Hampshire JCC for all students as applicable. The contractor shall provide Post-Center Career Transition Services annually, during the base period, for graduates and former enrollees.� Post-Center Career Transition Services will be required annually during the option periods for graduates and former enrollees. The program shall be operated by a contractor for the U.S. Department of Labor in accordance with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, (WIOA), of 2014, Job Corps regulations and the Policy and Requirements Handbook.
