- This is a Firm Fixed Price supply contract that encompasses a 5-Year Base Ordering Period with a period of performance of 15 May 2020 through 14 May 2025 and an optional 2-Year Ordering period that goes from 15 May 2025 through 14 May 2027.� The Horizontal Technology Integration (HTI) Second Generation Forward Looking Infrared (2GF) Biocular Image Control Unit (BICU) is the gunner�s primary thermal sight display on the Abrams tank.� The BICU is connected to the 2GF Thermal Receiver Unit (TRU) which houses a HTI 2GF B-Kit to create the night vision capability for the gunner�s site in Abrams tanks.� The HTI 2GF B-Kits are infrared camera components that are integrated on multiple platforms to provide thermal imaging capability for the United States (U.S.) Army and coalition forces.� The BICU is the display which allows the tank gunner to acquire targets, maintain situation awareness of the surrounding, and aim the tank main gun.� This award incorporates:� support management, Configuration Management, obsolescence management, Quality Assurance, safety requirements, qualification testing, depot repairs, and technical/engineering services required to support the BICU production and BICU hardware fielding/sustainment phase.
