- Synopsis: Customs and Border Protection, Border Enforcement Contracting Division, intends to award a sole source contract to Tucson Iron and Metal located at 690 E. 36th St., Tucson, AZ, under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253 (c) (1) FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The proposed procurement is for the narcotics destruction supporting the entire Laredo Field Office. Brief Scope of Work: The government requires a vendor within a 200-mile radius of Laredo, TX, to provide a certified facility capable of safely incinerating illicit and illegal goods, drugs, materials, and contraband to a state of complete incineration or rendered useless. CBP officers will be responsible for transporting narcotic loads for destruction as needed. North American Industry Classification Systems is 562112 (Hazardous Waste Disposal) Product Service Code is F999 (Other Environmental562 Services) No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest by providing a capability statement not later than May 18, 2020 at 10:00am CST. The capability statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required services. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
