- Description
- GSA is renovating approximately 47,000 SF of historic former Post Office space on the 1st Floor and Mezzanine level of the Robert N.C. Nix Federal Building & U.S. Post Office, constructed in 1937. �The USPO officially vacated the Nix Building as of October 2017.� Thereafter, GSA engaged Architect Engineer Mills & Schnoering (M&S ) to re-design the vacated Post Office Space; and the Construction Management firm -- AFG Group, Inc., to assist the government in meeting its goals of scope, schedule, budget, and quality during the design, procurement, construction, and closeout of the requirement.� �Please see the attached Plans and Specifications prepared by M&S and dated April 10, 2020 for the specific details.� �Please also see the attached photographs and video.�� As noted above, this project is taking place in the Nix Building, which is�a masonry office building located in the central business district of Philadelphia. �It is six stories above grade and one story below grade. It is listed on the National Register for Historic Structures and is Art modern / Art Deco style. The building is mixed use, functioning as a courthouse, office and houses approximately 16 tenants. The primary tenants include the US Bankruptcy Courts, the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the US District Courts, and the Executive Office of Immigration Review. The last major renovation was in the mid 1990's. The building is in good operating condition with minor repair and alteration deficiencies.� The Proposal Due Date is June 5, 2020 by 4pm est per the information in the attached Request for Proposal Documents.� �A�Pre-Proposal conference call occurred on May 5, 2020 at 10 am est.� RFIs are due by May 22, 2020 at 4pm.� Submit RFIs in the format of the attached RFI Log to the individuals identified in the attached Amendment 001 SF30 document.� GSA is accepting RFIs/Questions from potential proposing firms.� As noted, the Proposal Due Date is by June 5, 2020 at 4pm est.�� ��
