Description

THIS IS FOR SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY. While the complete RFP package has been included with this post, the RFP has not been released. Interested vendors should express their interest on the BETA.SAM.GOV posting. Large Scale Collaboration Center (LSCC) Commissioning Authority Services Commissioning Authority (CxA) services are needed for the new Large Scale Collaboration Center (LSCC) Building Project construction, located at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, 2575 Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park, and San Mateo County, California. The LSCC building is a planned 34,000 to 45,000 gross square feet (GSF), two to three floor building proposed on SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory campus. The facility�s primary function will be to house staff to support collaborative sciences and data/computing management across the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory site. The Project shall include all elements necessary to provide employees, and visitors a modern, functionally efficient facility. The building will be a high performance sustainable building (HPSB). The CxA firm shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, instruments, materials, and supplies necessary to accomplish the required CxA services for the fundamental Cx prerequisite, enhanced Cx and total building Cx including, but not limited to the following items: potential natural ventilation, day lighting, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, controls, architectural, structural, lighting, energy consumption, indoor air quality, environmental sustainability, exterior walls, and fire alarm systems for the LSCC Building Project construction. The Cx agent�s work shall conform to standards and best practices as published by the Building Commissioning Association. A portion of the work will be performed in a construction zone. A SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory identification badge and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by vendor is required for all work within a construction zone. SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory strictly enforces all Environmental, Safety and Health (ES&H) policies, which are a number one priority for all work on-site.
