- Description
- The SPAN Trainer (Device 21B71) is required to train officers and enlisted personnel in the proper planning and execution of navigation plans using naval navigation techniques and equipment to ensure the submarine is safely piloted and navigated.� Operation of the SPAN Trainer utilizes the computers described in this SOW to perform these training functions. The SPAN training systems in Kings Bay and Bangor shall be upgraded to comply with cybersecurity directives utilizing Windows 10 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 for the Operating System(s). �Offerors shall submit submit a breakdown of individual cost for hardware items listed in the Bill of Material (BOM), in the SOW attached, with their quote.� This is a Brand Name only requirement, substitutions for items in the BOM will not be considered unless authorized by the Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO) or Systems Engineer (SE). *Amendment #1: Soliciation has been extended until 10:00am on Friday, May 22, 2020 and Q&A Uploaded.
