- SOURCES SOUGHT: This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. The U.S. Geological Survey is conducting a MARKET SURVEY to determine the interest and capability of any firm eligible to supply the services described below. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. ALL COST ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION AS REQUESTED BY THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR. Submission is voluntary. STATEMENT OF WORK TO FOR A SERVICE CONTRACT ON AN ILLUMINA MISEQ SEQUENCER The U.S. Geological Survey�s Great Lakes Science Center (GLSC), is located at 1451 Green Road, Ann Arbor, MI. The GLSC conducts genetics research on fish and wildlife for Department of the Interior bureaus and other Federal and State agencies. The research includes study of infectious diseases of fishes and other aquatic organisms and includes characterization of infection, molecular pathogenesis and diseases processes in aquatic organisms as these factors relate to the host, pathogen, and environment. In March of 2018, GLSC acquired a new, next generation MiSeq sequencer for the purpose of sequencing genes, transcriptomes and genomes of bacterial and viral pathogens of fish. The acquisition came with a one-year service warranty which expired in 2019. We would like a new maintenance contract with four option years established for service and maintenance. Genetics research is a vital part of the science conducted at the GLSC. Our researchers utilize this piece of equipment on a regular basis, see the need to keep it properly serviced and maintained and in the future may be required to keep this machine under a service contract as part of scientific integrity requirements. Estimated Dollar Value for base year and four additional option years: Dates of Coverage: Base Year: January 1, 2020 � December 31, 2020 Option Year 1: January 1, 2021 � December 31, 2021 Option Year 2: January 1, 2022 � December 31, 2022 Option Year 3: January 1, 2023 � December 31, 2023 Option Year 4: January 1, 2024 � December 31, 2024 2.0 SCOPE -Comprehensive Service Contract -Provide on-site and remote technical and applications support -Rapid, response to equipment failure scenarios (within 2 days of notification by GLSC of a failure with the MiSeq) -Provide regular software updates and preventive maintenance on hardware and software -Provide full coverage of parts, labor and travel included 3.0 TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS -Full coverage of parts, labor and travel included -Reagent replacement upon instrument failures -Annual preventive maintenance visit -Remote technical support -2 business day average on-site response -Hardware/Software updates -On-site applications support 4.0 DELIVERABLES 1) One year service contract 2) Updates of proprietary software 3) Onsite Priority Response by Illumina engineers - is an important feature of the Illumina Comprehensive Service Plan. Customers receive guaranteed 2 business day average on-site response. 4) Scheduled Planned Maintenance - With the Comprehensive silver service contract annual planned maintenance (PM) visit is automatically scheduled. 5) This scheduled visit ensures optimal performance of your instrument, often preventing major breakdowns before they happen. 6) Labor & Travel Fees included - All labor and travel fees should be included for repair and planned maintenance. 7) Timeline: One year service contract in effect upon award. 8) Additional Option Years to extend service contract if requested.
