Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground � Natick Contracting Division on behalf of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities and Development Command (CCDC), Soldier Protection and Survivability Directorate (SPSD) intends to procure on a sole source basis under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Service will�Satisfy Agency Requirements for the Universal Wear Tester(UWT). The UWT needs to be able to do the following tests: ASTM D3885, ASTM D3886 and AATCC TM 119. SDL Atlas, Rock Hill SC 29732-9200�is the only vendor that can meet the needs of the US Army CCDC Soldier Center�s Textile Material Evaluation Team and the requirements of the�Buy American Act, 41 U.S.C. �� 8301-8305. A Firm Fixed Price Contract will be issued. This is not a request for quotes.� No solicitation package is available.� Any responses to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.� A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.� �The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339999.�� Inquiries and responses may be sent to Joe Mahoney, Contract Specialist, via email at joseph.w.mahoney.civ@mail.mil no later than�5 June�2020 @ 2:00PM EST
