Description
THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES. RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE USED BY THE GOVERNMENT TO MAKE APPROPRIATE ACQUISITION DECISIONS. Joint Base Charleston (JB CHS), located in Charleston, South Carolina, seeks market placeinformation about Multi-Energy Drive-Through (MEDT) Portals that can perform effective and non-intrusive inspections of vehicles (including oversized and lightly armored vehicles) and their cargo. Because of the high volume of vehicles flowing into JB CHS, the Government is interested in systems that allows vehicles to be driven through the non-intrusive inspection system by the vehicles driver and with vehicle occupants still inside. The system shall be able to scan the vehicle cabin at a low energy level to keep the occupants safe, and scan the vehicles cargo at a higher energy level, providing detailed images and allowing operators to quickly identify contraband such as drugs, explosives, and weapons. The system shall be permanently installed and capable of withstanding high winds. The system will provide, at minimum, one top down scan and one lateral scan simultaneously and in near-real time. Vendors shall be capable of providing preventative and corrective maintenance support for the MEDT Portals. The Government invites vendors to submit written data, product information, and/or innovative information or products to meet the requirement as described above. Those wishing to identify their capability to provide the aforementioned product should respond to this announcement via e-mail to Michelle Goss at michelle.goss.1@us.af.mil no later than 16 June 2020 at 05:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. There is no required format for this submission. Interested parties should provide the following: company name, company address, point of contact, phone number, e-mail address, DUNS number, and a capability statement, which should include a description of the systems footprint (length, width, height, and weight), installation requirements, environmental operating parameters (to include environmental limitations that preclude system operations, such as wind speeds, low/high temperature, etc.), throughput per hour, product manufacture and installation lead times, and unit price. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. INFORMATION IS PROVIDED ON A VOLUNTARY BASIS. NO ENTITLEMENT TO PAYMENT OF DIRECT OR INDIRECT COSTS OR CHARGES, INCLUDING POSTAGE AND SHIPPING, WILL ARISE AS A RESULT OF THE SUBMISSION OF INFORMATION.
