Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Request for Quotations, RFQ #140P8620Q0035 and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 05-81, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This service category falls under NAICS � 238910 Site Preparation Contractors. The Government intends to issue a firm-fixed price contract to a single vendor determined to be qualified, responsive and responsible. We reserve the right to cancel this solicitation. NPS will make the award to a qualified vendor whose quote is the lowest price technically acceptable offer. The government will award to the offeror that is most adventitious to the government. This solicitation is open to Total Small Business competition. The National Park Service (NPS) has the entitled project scheduled at the SANTA MONICA MOUNTAINS NATIONAL RECREATION AREA. The Work includes the destruction of an existing abandoned groundwater well. This work must be in conformance with the requirements for destroying a well in the Water Well Standards: State of California and Los Angeles County�s well destruction requirements. Destruction of the well is to be performed by a California licensed C57 water well contractor. The U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service, GOGA MABO intends to solicit quotations from qualified Small Business firms for a firm-fixed price service contract to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and supervision necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of the project. Work includes, but is not limited to the destruction of an abandoned (Zuma) well which has not been used as a water source by the National Park Service, since acquisition of the property it is located on by the Park. Destruction of the abandoned Zuma well will eliminate a significant safety hazard and threat to groundwater resources, as described in the project specifications. The service period for this contract is to be approximately twelve months, base year. Quotes must contain complete pricing and list the vendor�s qualifications. Delivery is to be made approximately 365 days from the date of commencement of the contract. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Insurance coverages for a. General Commercial Liability (Per below clause: $500K/$1M/$500K) 3. Minimum three (3) years of experience on projects of similar size and scope (see project PMIS 236416 specifications, as attached); with environmental procedures similar to those of this project; must be familiar with environmental regulations applicable to construction operations.
