- Description
- Amendment 1, Q & A: Q: The announcement on beta.SAM.gov states that registration will be limited to one person per company. Im wondering how that restriction will be implemented, will it be by CAGE code? A: ""The intent is one POC per Company. The Special Notice states one POC per CAGE code because CAGE codes are an indicator of valid Industry partners registered with the Government. This is consistent with how the C5ISR Center handled distribution of slide material last year and is how we plan to manage distribution of slide material for next year."" Q: How are you managing the distribution of materials? A: ""One person per Company is consistent with how we managed the distribution of materials last year. Two people were allowed to register and attend the in-person event but only ONE person was provided the slide material. This virtual event is a distribution of slide material at the Unclassified//FOUO level. Consistent with last year, ONE POC per company will receive the opportunity to download the materials and distribute appropriately throughout their company."" Q: Will the person who is registered be able to forward the documents to other people within their company after they download them? Any restrictions on that? A: ""This material is not Public Release information, it is UNCLASSIFIED//FOUO material and therefore the recipient must be cleared to receive that information. The VR process provides us the information necessary to adjudicate the recipients."" INTENTION: In order to make maximum use of industrys creativity and innovation, the Army must continue to work closely with industry in the earliest stages of the product lifecycle, before requirements are firm and before design concepts are determined. The sooner industry learns of the Armys interest in a new capability, the sooner industry can begin to explore or invest in applicable technologies and formulate ideas for Army consideration. The intent of the information exchange will be to enhance Government-and-industry communication and enable industry to quickly respond to emerging requirements with innovative technology solutions and partnerships. FINAL NOTES: The information shared is for planning purposes: it neither represents a pre-solicitation synopsis nor constitutes an invitation for bid or request for proposal, and it is not a commitment by the government to purchase the desired products and services. The exchange of information will be held at the Unclassified For Official Use Only level. Clearance verification requests are a mandatory component of the registration process. Clearance verification requests MUST be submitted no later than 1700 EST on 12 June 2020. Additional details related to security requirements will be provided with the registration link and will be sent via email to all registrants. Registration will open on 29 May 2020 at 1300 EST and will be located at the C5ISR Centers public website: https://c5isr.ccdc.army.mil/. All prospective attendees must register to have access to the information. Registration, to include the submission of all required security documentation, will close Friday, 12 June, 2020 at 1700 EST. Due to the high-level of interest in this event, registration will be limited to one person per company. The forum is also open to academia and other government organizations. There will be no substitutions or registrations on any day after 1700 EST on 12 June 2020. Any substitutions are required to have completed the two step registration process prior to 1700 EST on 12 June 2020. Special note to attendees: The U.S. Army reserves the right to cancel and/or change session event times, dates and locations under certain conditions. These conditions usually include, but are not limited to: inclement weather, event venue cancellation or rescheduling, speaker cancellation or rescheduling, and insufficient number of participants for the event. The U.S. Army reserves the right to cancel the event for any reason up to and including the day of the event. In the event that the U.S .Army must cancel the event, the U.S. Army will not be responsible for costs incurred in preparation. If the event is cancelled, the notice will be posted on this website and an email will be sent to all registered participants.
