- Description
- The Air Force Test Center (AFTC) Installation Contracting Construction Division/PZIOC, Eglin AFB, FL, has awarded a contract for the multi-phase renovation of Hangar 68 Joint-Preflight Integration of Munitions and Electronic Systems (J-PRIMES) test facility. Work will be performed on Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, and includes updated fire suppression systems, administrative and lab spaces, HVAC, furniture, vestibule, and bathrooms. Work will include, but is not limited to: sitework, utilities, fire suppression upgrade and removal, lead abatement, Fire protection, roofing work, interior partitions/vestibules, interior finishes, HVAC systems, plumbing, restroom renovations, power, and lighting work. The acquisition was competed, unrestricted to full and open competition. Non-Commercial and Best Value practices were utilized in this procurement, in accordance with the solicitation. The resulting contract is firm-fixed-price with all executed bid options. The start date of construction is estimated for 1 July 2020.
