- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to issue a contract on a sole source basis to Thermal Product Solutions, LLC (TPS, LLC), 2821 Old Route 15, New Columbia, PA 17856, for the procurement of a Mechanical Curing Oven, Part Number (P/N) DC-366-E-F4T, required for I-Level Maintenance for the P-8A Poseidon Program.� This procurement is for a quantity of one (1) unit for the United States Navy.� The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1.� The Government does not own current data drawings or other specifications to permit full and open competition.� TPS, LLC is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Mechanical Curing Oven and owns all proprietary rights to the engineering data, and is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the Mechanical Curing Oven required for the P-8 aircraft.� No solicitation package is available for this procurement.� THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.� This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.� This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice.� A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Responses must be received within fifteen (15) days of publication of this notice.� Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract.� The Point of Contact is Cheryl Abele, (732) 323-2800 or cheryl.a.abele@navy.mil.
