Description

NOTICE: THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT,� NOT AN RFQ. The intent of this notice is to inform the vendor community of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service (NESDIS)/ Assistant Chief Information Officer-Satellites (ACIO-S) proposed contract action. This proposed procurement is for items which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302(a)(2)(ii). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than June 16, 2020, 12:00 pm ET. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) awarded a sole source contract to John Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (JHUAPL), based on FAR 6.302-3 Industrial mobilization; engineering, developmental, or research capability; or expert services. The purpose of this procurement �is to provide Spectrum and Special Projects engineering expertise to support NESDIS/ACIO-S and other NESDIS program offices for one (1) year base period.
