Description

Location: Virtual, FAA Administrative Voice Enterprise Services (FAVES) Event Description: The purpose of this amendment is to revise the earlier announcement for a planned SENSR Program Industry Event. This�SENSR industry engagement event is hereby cancelled. The SENSR team intends to reschedule this event for a later date, which is currently to be determined. Supporting context for this cancellation follows: The SENSR joint program office (JPO) received a positive and conditional Initial Investment Decision (IID) for the preferred acquisition strategy in March 2020. The FAA�s Joint Resource Council (JRC) approval was conditioned on support from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and Technical Panel for modifications to the 2015 Pipeline Act that would ensure feasibility of the joint program office�s acquisition strategy. These requested modifications include: Auction 50MHz vice 30MHz Provision and allowance of funding for pre-auction contract award activities The JPO continued to work in support of this IID-approved acquisition strategy until early June 2020, including planning an industry engagement event and subsequently planning a two-part draft SIR release for summer 2020. However, these plans are currently on hold pending�OMB support for the preferred SENSR acquisition strategy. Discussions between the SENSR joint program office, senior agency leadership, technical panel and OMB are presently on-going. The SENSR team apologizes for any inconveniences to industry posed by this latest update.
