Description
THIS IS A SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT BIDS.� THIS NOTICE WILL BE POSTED FOR A MINIMUM OF 15 DAYS PRIOR TO POSTING OF THE SOLICITATION.� The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates issuance of solicitation of an invitation for bid�for the award of a firm fixed-price construction contract for the installation of gun lockers at the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) San Diego located in San Diego, CA.�MCC San Diego is a federal correctional facility located at 808 Union St, San Diego, CA 92101.� For this project the contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, transportation, services, etc�. required for building improvements to construct a new gun locker room.� Some of the major construction items shall include but are not limited to the following; class B walls surrounding the new gun locker rooms and a class B ceiling/roof system; new door with window, frame and hardware; finishes including painting, floor sealer and base; new individual gun lockers installed in new gun locker room along with a pistol unloading station; mechanical ventilation fan; installation of a fire sprinkler system; fire alarm system modifications; electrical system including power to mechanical equipment, lighting and convenience outlets and security systems shall include electrified door hardware, intercom system and cameras.� A Statement of Work for the full description of the project will be posted at the time of solicitation.� The performance period for the project will be 180 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed.� The solicitation will be made available on or about July 1, 2020 and will be distributed solely through the SAM BETA website at�https://beta.sam.gov/.�Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available however, the site provides downloading instructions.� All future information regarding this acquisition, including any solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $100,000 and $250,000. (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.) IMPORTANT: This is a 100% total small business set-aside. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. In order to qualify for award, your business size metrics information entered in your SAM registration must be less than or equal to the size standard specified above. Each bidder's SAM registration will be reviewed by the Government to confirm that your business size meets the small business size standard requirement.
