Description
The Contracting Command New Jersey, on behalf of U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Armaments Center (CCDC AC), (FCDD-ACE-SP) at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, is conducting market research to determine the capability of businesses to provide software that is in support of Combat Capabilities Development Command Armament Centers (CCDC AC) Model Based Enterprise (MBE) efforts. This effort focuses on the 3D CAD model driving many aspects of CCDC ACs processes. CCDC AC is seeking software that will assist in the process of certifying that the 3D CAD model is accurate to CCDC AC 3D modeling standards and can be considered the authoritative Technical Data Package (TDP). Specific capabilities that CCDC AC is seeking in this software are: 1. Comparing 3D CAD models to approved 2D drawings to ensure that all annotations from the drawing have been created as driving dimensions in the model during a 2D to 3D conversion. The software should becapable of comparing these two files (model and drawing), using a color coded display to identify differences between the two. The software should also add any missing annotations that have been identified. 2. Checking models for machine readability; and identify, report, and correct machine readability errors. 3. Generating QIF files from the model for use in quality inspection machines, and generating inspection reports based on all model dimensions as well as CCDC ACs specific quality symbol annotations. 4. Validating derivative files, including Quality Information Framework (QIF) and Standard for the Exchange of Product Data (STEP) files at a minimum, against the authoritative model to ensure they are the same, and generating a validation report. 5. Must be compatible with PTC Creo Solid Modeling Software and have floating licenses that can be shared among users.
