- Army Contracting Command � Rock Island (ACC-RI) is looking for interested vendors that can provide a Vendor Management Inventory (VMI) system to support Rock Island Arsenal-Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center�s (RIA-JMTC) Tool and Fixture Design department.�� All interested vendors are encouraged to provide evidence of their capabilities and offered products that best fit the identified needs. RIA-JMTC is located on the Mississippi River in Rock Island, IL.� RIA-JMTC is the only multi-purpose and vertically integrated metal manufacturer in the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).� RIA-JMTC encompasses more than 3 million square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space, over 1000 machining centers, and the only active foundry in the U. S. Army.� RIA-JMTC�s mission is to support the Nation with world class manufactured products and services.� The Government defines Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) as a managing contract account in accordance with generally accepted VMI practices, which optimizes supply chain performance.� This includes, but limited to, the resupply of designated items by the vendor through regularly scheduled reviews of on-site inventory counts, removal of damaged or outdated goods, and the re-stocking of inventory to predetermined levels at their specified locations.�� Please see the attached draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) and item list. At a minimum, interested vendors shall provide the following information with their response: - Company Name w/POC Name and contact information (Name, Phone, and Email). - Company DUNS Number / Cage Code. - Company Capabilities and available products that best fit our requirement. - Company experience with VMI type accounts. - Description of services offered/available. - Estimated start up time. - If applicable, suggestions to the attached Draft PWS such as� ways to improve and enhance effectiveness of a VMI for RIA-JMTC. - Rough Order of Magnitude for services offered. Response date:� 22 May 2020�� All questions shall be emailed due to the current COVID-19 safety measures in place at Rock Island Arsenal.� Telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
