- Description
- This will be a full and open 8(a) competitive procurement. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will be soliciting for the Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC)Validation Contractor (RVC).� The primary purpose of the RVC is to review RAC claim determinations on Medicare claims that were paid under part A or B of title XVIII of the Social Security Act, and to ensure that the Recovery Audit Contractors (RAC) are not unnecessarily denying Medicare claims that were properly paid. This procurement will be an 8(A) full and open competition under NAICS code 524298, All Other Insurance Related Activities, with a size standard of $15 million. The RFP will be issued under solicitation number 75FCMC20R0017. CMS anticipates award of one Firm Fixed Price type contract.� All prospective Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management at http://www.sam.gov. The solicitation will be available on or about July 6, 2020, and it will be distributed solely through the Federal Business� Opportunities (FBO) website at beta.SAM.gov. Proposals are expected to be due 30 days from the RFP issue date. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. No telephone requests or written requests for the RFP will be accepted. Contractors must be free of conflicts of interest or shall prepare an OCI mitigation plan to address any actual, potential or apparent organizational conflicts of interest that could arise.
