Description
UPDATE 6/19/2020:� This is the presolicitation notice for the Anan Trail Reconstruction.� A separate solicitation was posted on 6/19/2020.� �If you have questions or do not know how to find the solicitation notice, please contact the contracting officer at mari.meiners@usda.gov. ********************************** This is a presolicitation notice for the reconstruction of a portion of the Anan Wildlife Observatory Trail.� Major work items include the demolition and removal/reuse of existing step-and-run boardwalk trail and other timber structures, various types of aggregate surfacing, concrete steps, boardwalk infill, installation of two bridges, solid rock removal, and miscellaneous work.� It is expected that onsite work will�not be permitted between June 15 and September 1, 2020 and 2021.� The solicitation document will provide specifics on allowable time periods for work on site.� �Work must be complete by November 1, 2021. Anan Wildlife Observatory is located about 30 air miles southeast of Wrangell, AK at lat/long 56.183, 131.890.� It is typically accessed by boat or float plane from Wrangell. The project site is very remote with no services or utilities�nearby.� Cell phone service is not available in the vicinity of the project site.� The Anan Bay Cabin may be rented by the contractor under the same rules that apply to the general public.� No camping at the project site outside the cabin is allowed.� No dogs are allowed at the project site. The magnitude of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. The government will schedule a preproposal teleconference approximately one week after the solicitation is posted.� This presolicitation includes draft documents for planning purposes.� Individuals interested in visiting the site must contact the contracting officer (see contact informaiton section) to coordinate.
