Description
Amendment 0002 is issued to answer three questions received in response to the solicitation. There is no change to the closing date and time of this solicitation. Question 1: On the following solicitation for hay/forage: 140L1220Q0029, can a telehandler be left on-site for the duration of the period of performance for unload the hay (equipment will have insurance coverage)? Answer 1: Yes a tele-handler can be left on site. Question 2: Would banded hay bales as opposed to string or wire for small bales be accepted? Answer 2: The bales must be bailed in accordance with the Statements of Work. Question 3: The delivery schedules in the RFQ are: For the 2,500 tons of Alfalfa hay, deliveries to begin August 1, 2020 and go through June 30, 2021. For the 350 tons of grass hay, deliveries will be made between July 6th and August 7, 2020. Is there a specific number of tons you require per each delivery or do you have a delivery schedule with anticipated quantities per delivery? Answer 3: It really depends on the number of animals we have at the facility as to how often and how much you can deliver at a time. We have the capability of storing about 800 ton of hay under our barns. With the grass you can deliver it all at one time. The alfalfa is trickier to figure since we have animals being shipped out and brought in continuously. We are more than happy to work with a vendor on a better schedule once we know how many animals we will receive in the Fall. --- end ----
