- Project Title: PARASIM Life Cycle Maintenance Reference Number: FA460820QS902 ��The 2nd Contracting Squadron, Barksdale AFB, hereby submits an intent to sole source notice. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-priced contract to Systems Technology, Inc. for the life cycle maintenance of three (3) PARASIM Virtual Reality Parachute Simulator Systems. This procurement action is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy the Requirement. This document does not constitute a request for quotations, proposals, or bids. � ��An extended description of the product being acquired is as follows: PARASIM 5 Year Life Cycle Support Plan for three (3) existing Parachute Simulators systems & recommended maintenance/replacement plan. Over the years, PARASIM� has been enhanced and expanded upon by exclusively by STI in response to the parachuting community�s needs and current technological advances available. STI continues to hold all patent, proprietary, and engineering rights to PARASIM�. The services, support, hardware, and instructor training are only to be performed by STI-certified personnel that are familiar with the software code and hardware setup as improper procedures could cause the hardware to prematurely fail or military personnel to fall from the suspended harness. � Firms who desire to challenge this sole source action must submit an interest letter (email is acceptable) that demonstrates technical expertise, certifications, and authorization to compete for this acquisition. The letter must describe clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, and will not be cost or time prohibitive. � ���Please send your responses to the following: Danielle Sookhai, Contracting Specialist; at danielle.sookhai@us.af.mil *The determination not to complete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be evaluated as to confirm or deny the decision to conduct a competitive procurement.
