Description
SPECIAL NOTICE for VENDOR DAY JULY 13, 2020 @ VA Hospital 2400 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119 Set-up: 8:30AM 9:00AM; Demonstrations 9:00AM 12:00PM Purpose The Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System (SLVHCS) is seeking to procure a new state-of-the-art Complete Orthopedic Arthroscopic Operating System that will support the activation of the Orthopedic Program at SLVHCS. SLVHCS is requesting any vendors marketing Complete Orthopedic Arthroscopic Operating Systems to attend a vendor day for an opportunity to demonstrate their equipment. SLVHCS ultimately intends to solicit a requirement that will seek an offeror to provide all the necessary equipment, labor, consumables, disposables, materials, installation, accessories, and scopes to support 2 operating rooms. No award decisions will be made during the Vendor Day, and its sole purpose is to provide in-depth information about new and emergent technologies to allow the Department of Veteran Affairs to offer the highest quality services to our nations Veterans. Description of Requirement The following description is provided only for informational purposes and is not intended to limit the scope of any vendors technological demonstration. SLVHCS is seeking equipment that includes but not limited to the following: tower, camera heads, shavers, telescopes (scopes), and pumps. The telescopes will have variable degrees and millimeters (sizes) appropriate to the surgical procedures. It is essential that the telescopes have adjustable viewing directions and expanded viewable degrees lateral and isometric views. The telescopes (rigid scopes) and flexible scopes must be autoclavable and/or sterilization. The offeror will provide the necessary wire or stain-steel trays for cleaning, sterilization, and storage; as well as, any accessories and leak test adaptors. The offeror will work closely with the Sterilization Processing Service; as well as, providing any necessary training. The operating system which is ultimately procured must be compatible with the existing Skytron (operating room) booms. The systems will have the ability to communicate with VISTA Imaging and Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) to allow for the transfer of data into the patient's Electronic Medical Records. Any digital imaging system should be displayed on the video integration system. It is essential that the proposed operating system integrates into existing infrastructures and exchanges data with other systems using common standard interfaces. Finally, it is the responsibility of the offeror to provide a surgical system that has the ability to function with the current power (electrical) supply. Attendance The Vendor Day is scheduled for July 13, 2020 at the SLVHCS Hospital located at 2400 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119. Interested vendors should contact Nathan Dion, Health Systems Specialist Supervisor, at Nathan.dion@va.gov. The event will be held in the gymnasium located at the hospital. Vendors will have between 8:30 and 9:00 AM to set up equipment for demonstrations. The demonstrations will occur between 9:00 AM and 12 noon. Vendors should send minimal representatives due to COVID-19 social distancing requirements. Please ensure that at least one representative is a subject matter expert. If there are a number of vendor responses, we may limit vendors to one representative in the room. RSVP as soon as possible to ensure that we have an accurate count. There will be access to power and the VA will provide tables. Any other logistical questions should be submitted to the POC in reasonable advance to provide time for answering.
