Description

This is NOT a request for proposal or invitation for bid.� Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), Public Works Department (PWD) Newport, located at Newport, Rhode Island, announces a requirement for a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) construction contract for Solicitation Number N4008520B3342�NUWC Building 114 New Fire Alarm & Mass Notification System. � This project shall be bid to include all labor, tools, qualified supervision, equipment, materials, supplies, equipment, and permits necessary to complete the General Requirements and Statement of Work. Project Information: Solicitation Number:� N4008520B3342 Title:� NUWC Building 114 New Fire Alarm & Mass Notification System Location:� Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport, RI, 02841 The Government will issue the solicitation as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) as a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. Contract award will be based on Far Part 14 � Sealed Bidding.� Award shall be made on the total of the�Base Bid to the responsive and responsible bidder with the lowest price acceptable to the Government. The IFB will be issued on or about��10 July�2020.� The offeror is responsible to monitor and download any amendments for the solicitation from the Contract Opportunities (https://beta.sam.gov) website. Description of Work: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) has a requirement to remove the existing, conventional fire alarm system in building 114 at NUWCDIVNPT, and replace it with a new addressable combination fire alarm and mass notification system. The project shall include, but not be limited to; providing, installing, and testing a new addressable combination fire alarm and mass notification system, with all required panels, components, devices, conduit and wiring. Additionally, upon final testing and government acceptance of the new system, the entire existing conventional fire alarm system shall be removed and disposed of or recycled. All work shall be done in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications. The contractor shall complete the entire scope of work, including testing and final acceptance, no later than 150 calendar days after notice to proceed.
