Description
The US Bureau of Reclamation (USBR), Grand Coulee Power Office (GCPO), Grand Coulee, WA has a total small-business set-aside for the removal and proper disposal of lead paint and coal tar from approximately two outlet tubes per year, consisting of four (4) cast iron follower gate pieces, four (4) cast steel ring gate pieces, four (4) cast steel assemblies consisting of two (2) upper bonnet covers and (1) bonnet base for each assembly. The follower gates weigh approximately 14,000 lbs. each, the ring gates weigh approximately 24,000 lbs. each, the upper bonnet covers weight approximately 400 lbs. each, and the bonnet bases weigh approximately 5,600 lbs. each. The pieces to be sandblasted will be disassembled and prepped for sandblasting with protective covers installed before shipment by government labor. The items will be staged and loaded by government forces directly onto the contractor's transport. The primary purpose is for the Contractor to furnish all labor, transportation, equipment, and materials to perform lead paint and coal tar removal from the cast steel/iron parts via sand blasting to clean metal. Contractor shall perform proper abatement and disposal of lead paint coal tar removed by the sand blasting process. Detailed specifications for this requirement will be available under solicitation 140R1720Q0040, to be issued on or before July 13, 2020. The Government anticipates awarding a single, five (5) year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with an approximate period of performance of 9/1/2020 - 8/30/2025, depending on actual award date. Pricing shall be provided for all five (5) years.
