- UFO - COFFEY DAM REMOVAL Bureau of Land Management, Department of the Interior, Colorado State Office, Lakewood, Colorado has a requirement for UFO-Coffey Dam Removal. This project includes, but is not limited to; removal of Coffey dam embankment, transportation and placement of dam material to the disposal location, dewatering, placement of riprap, finish grading, erosion control, and relocation of irrigation lines. A prebid site tour will be provided on July 21, 2020 at 10 AM local time. The project is located approximately 9 miles south of the city of Montrose, CO. From CO-550, take Woodgate south, Woodgate becomes Kininkin Road. Travel 6-7 miles from CO-550. After crossing the canal, take a left, (north) on the south canal access road. Access is on the right, approximately 0.5 miles from Kinikin road.
