Description
Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Sources Sought Notice Obtain and install a Rauland Borg Responder 5 Nurse Call System This is a Sources Sought notice and not a request for quotes. This request is solely for the purpose of conducting market research to enhance VHA s understanding of your company s offered services and capabilities. The Government will not pay any costs for responses submitted in response to this Source Sought Notice. This Sources Sought notice provides an opportunity for respondents to submit their capability and availability to provide the service requirement described below. Vendors are being invited to submit information relative to their potential to fulfill this requirement, in the form of a capability response that addresses the specific requirement identified in this Sources Sought. In addition, please provide evidence of being an authorized distributor/installed of Rauland Borg equipment, lastly please ensure that your DUNS number is located on the submission. The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is seeking to obtain a Rauland Borg Responder 5 Nurse Call System at the West Haven Connecticut VAMC. The standard of services shall be of quality; meeting or exceeding those outlined in the General Requirements Section below. Refer to the General Requirements section below for the requested service description. This Sources Sought is to facilitate the Contracting Officer s review of the market base, for acquisition planning, size determination, and procurement strategy. General Requirements: SCOPE OF WORK The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, parts, component installation of nurse call brand Rauland Borg Responder V system and disposal, at the VA Connecticut Health Care Systems, Emergency Room clinic. Location of Facility: West Haven VAMC 950 Campbell Avenue Building 1 Ground Floor West Haven, Connecticut, 06516. The Contractor shall provide all resources required to perform the installation services, inspections, to include parts, materials, cleanings fluids, equipment, tools, shipping, travel, labor and disposal. The Contractor shall install the following equipment to interface with existing infrastructures of facility wide Responder IV and V nurse call systems. 1.3 Equipment: Qty: Model Description 1- NC2828 Wall Mounting Cabinet 3- 351003 Power Supply w/ Battery Back-up 1- 351001 Branch Regional Controller 1- 351004 Ethernet Switch 8 Port w/POE 1- 351205 Nurse Console VoIP 9- 353001 Enhanced Single Patient Station 9- 350022 Enhanced Patient Station Clear Button Cover 10- 352010 LED Corridor Light 4- 352021 Duty Controller 4- 353100 Duty Station 3- 354000 Pull Cord Station w/Audio 9- 354018 Auxiliary Alarm Station 2 Port 9- 354011 Code Station 9- 350008 Code Station Clear Cover 2- 350018 8-pin in line connector 1- 350002 L-Net T-tap Module 1- 350003 L-Net Termination Resistor 1- 350005 M-Net Divider Module 9- 9598 Pillow Speaker Holder 9- 8518 Pillow Speaker Cord Saver 9- 350200 Enhanced Pillow Speaker -TV - Digital Vol 1- Misc. System Cable - Plenum Services 1.4 Installation at West Haven shall require running all cables, wires, connectors and fittings to the nearest Electrical closet / Panel located in Building 1 Emergency Room area. 1.5 All work shall be performed in accordance with manufacturer Rauland Borg Corporation with updated software and Nurse Call guidelines for industry hospital standards. 1.6 Manufacturer's requirement and specifications on inspection, maintenance and operation shall be certified by Rauland Borg / manufactures authorized dealer for warranty and installation purposes. 1.7 Include above listed equipment, cable, cable installation, programming as required, control panel termination, field termination, use of facility provided environmental containment units, FIVE-YEAR Warranty on all nurse call stations, consoles, and control equipment, and a one-year labor warranty. Covered equipment items listed on in this PWS shall be in operation with all Rauland Borg software system components and associated apparatus as normally supplied and required for operation by the manufacturer(s) in the currently installed configuration, including integrity of connections to building utilities, excluding building utility supply lines up to the point of manufacturer provided hardware. Working Hours All work shall be conducted during normal working hours between 7:00AM and 4:00PM EST, Monday through Friday. Installation dates shall be coordinated between the VA and the Contractor at the convenience of the government. Interference to Normal Functions: The contractor may be required to interrupt their work at any time as not to interfere with the function of the facility, including facility repair etc. In the event of an emergency, contractor services may be stopped and rescheduled at no additional cost to the Government.
