- Amendment 0004 issued solely to ALLOW vendors to enter the line item pricing. No acknowledgement required. NATIONAL PARK SERVICE, REGION 2 SOUTH ATLANTIC GULF, WEST CONTRACTING OFFICE hereby releases the solicitation number 140P5220B0001. INVITATION FOR BIDS: Bidders must submit bids electronically via FEDCONNECT (Bidder Registration Required). Public opening of bids: 8 JUL 2020 11 AM ET / 10 AM CT, Gulf Islands National Seashore, Davis Bayou Area, Visitor Center located south of Highway 90 east of downtown Ocean Springs. This solicitation is available to the public online at www.fedconnect.net A firm-fixed-price contract solely for dismantling, demolition, or removal of improvements of all modern structures within the administrative corridor at Horn Island. The National Park Service seeks competitive pricing for the base bid and bid additive. The site of work is Horn Island, Mississippi Sound, accessible only by boat. Demo Horn Island Ranger Station Operational Site, Gulf Islands National Seashore, Mississippi Sound, Jackson County, MS MAGNITUDE: A firm-fixed price service contract for dismantling, demolition, or removal of improvements. The estimated price range is between $250,000 and $500,000 for dismantling or demolition of buildings, ground improvements, other real property structures and for the removal of such structures listed herein. 1) Demolish and remove main house, pump shed, generator shed, pole barn, fencing, solar panel, diesel tank and fuel line (from tank to pier), septic system and lines, and all concrete areas. 2) Demolish and remove pier (250 feet long x 8 to 20 feet wide), concrete piles (~60 each 12"" square) and boat shade structure 3) Optional: Demolish and remove communication tower All construction and demolition materials and debris shall be legally disposed offsite and waste diverted to approved landfill or recycling facility. Concrete, steel, and many other materials have the potential to be salvaged, reused, or recycled. Ten facilities and structures to be removed include, but not limited to, 2640 square foot (SF) Housing unit, 1540 square foot (SF) pole barn, 42 square foot (SF) well head shack, and 300 square foot (SF) generator shelter; and associated diesel fuel tank/lines (from tank to pier), septic systems and lines and all concrete areas (~150-200 tons of concrete debris). Note: During demolition should any concrete or foundations be deemed historical by COR they shall be left undisturbed. In addition to this solicitation are several documents incorporated by attachment in Section J that describe the requirements of the Government clearly, accurately, and completely.
