- THIS IS A NOTICE OF AWARD OF A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The National Park Service awarded contract 140P6420P0036 to WASTE MANAGEMENT OF MICHIGAN, INC., 910 W Baraga Avenue, Marquette, MI 49855. Waste Management Inc. is a large business that will provide the Solid Waste Tipping and Disposal and Recycling Services for the Isle Royale National Park. During normal operating seasons, Isle Royale National Park generates approximately 500 cubic yards of solid waste per year. All trash is picked up at the Isle Royale National Park located at 800 East Lakeshore Drive in Houghton, Michigan 49931. Waste Management of Michigan, Inc. was the only responsible source identified as capable of performing the requirements.
