- NOTE (July 16, 2020): This is to inform the interested Vendors that Amendment #0001 is attached to this posting: a) to add Attachment #6 and Attachment #7; b) to reply to Request for Information; c) to revise Section J; d) to revise Section L, and e) to postpone the due-in date from 20 July 2020, 12:00 PM (Local time, Rome, Italy) to 27 July 2020, 12:00 PM (Local time, Rome, Italy). NOTE (June 19, 2020): This is to inform the interested Vendors that: The site visit scheduled on July 9, 2020, will be held at 10:30AM, meeting site: GATE 27. The solicitation package including the pertinent documentation are attached to this posting, attachment #1 trough attachment #6, included. The due in date has been established on July 20, 2020, 12:00PM Noon (local time, Rome, Italy). NOTE (May 6, 2020): This is to inform the interested Vendors that, due to the current COVID19 emergency, the site visit has been scheduled on July 9, 2020, meeting site: GATE 27. HOW TO PARTICIPATE: In order to participate all interested parties will be invited to indicate, or confirm, their interest by submitting an email not later than Close of Business (COB) by May 29, 2020, to elisa.orsini2.ln@mail.mil. Please indicate in your e-mail the solicitation number and the name of the company, address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, and name(s) of the person(s) who will be present at the site visit (maximum two persons): first name, last name, date of birth, place of birth, type and number of identification document. PROJECT NUMBER AND TITLE: MS 00225-7P, Install fire alarm building 5016, Darby Military Community, ITALY. SOLICITATION NUMBER: W912PF-20-Q-0026 Description of the project: This is a Design-Build project involving the installation of fire alarm at building 5016. Bldg. 5016 is an administrative/storage building of about 530 square meters (50m x 10.6m) located in Supply and Maintenance Area. The roof is rounded, 7 meters high on the top. Inside the building various rooms have been created with prefabricated panels and masonry. In this phase the work consists of designing details and providing calculations and everything necessary to define all the works required to fulfill the scope of work, complying with the last version of UNI 9795. All the new components shall be EN54 compliant, NFPA72 code and UFC 3-600-01 wherever possible; designer shall perform a comparison of these codes and in case of conflict the strictest requirements shall be applied. Additionally, the works consist of modify the existing electrical panel, install a new group of 2 RJ45 F/UTP cat. 6 communication outlets near the FACP to allow the future connection to a remote monitoring system; provide all the civil works related to the installation of the new conduits and boxes. All applicable Italian Laws, Italian Codes and American Codes, in particular: Italian D.M. 37/08, UNI 9795 �Sistemi fissi automatici di rivelazione e di segnalazione allarme d'incendio - Progettazione, installazione ed esercizio�, NFPA 70 �National Electric Code�, NFPA 72 �National Fire Alarm and Signaling code�, UFC 3-600-01, Fire Protection Engineering for Facilities, UFC 3-501-01, Unified Facilities Criteria, Electrical Engineering, UFC 3-520-01, Unified Facilities Criteria, Interior Electrical Systems, UFC 4-010-01, Unified Facilities Criteria, Design: DOD Minimum Antiterrorism Standards for Buildings, all applicable Italian CEI and European CEI EN norms, all applicable NFPA codes, all other applicable Unified Facilities Criteria The complete Scope of Work and Technical Specifications will be posted in the next few weeks. Funding:� The project is funded. Location of the work: The site of the proposed work is Darby Military Community, Livorno, Italy. Magnitude of the project:� The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 (Euro 21,467.50) and $100,000 (Euro 85,870.00) METHOD OF CONTRACTING: This will be a Request for Quotation (RFQ) resulting in a Firm-Fixed price type contract.� Performance period: The Performance Period will be 150 calendar days: -Design phase 75 calendar days; -Construction phase 45 calendar days; -Request for passes 30 calendar days. SITE VISIT: A site visit will be held on March 30, 2020, 10:00 hrs.� The meeting point will be at Gate #27 (Depot Area), via Aurelia, Tombolo (Pisa). HOW TO PARTICIPATE: In order to participate all interested parties will be invited to indicate their interest by submitting an email not later than Close of Business (COB) by February 27, 2020, to elisa.orsini2.ln@mail.mil.
