Description
This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a Sources Sought publication only. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. Please do not submit a proposal in response to this notice. This notice is to assist the VA in the determination of sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs Nebraska Western Iowa Health Care System (VA) is hereby seeking potential Contractors to provide all the necessary equipment and technical support to VA Imaging Interventionist Physicians when performing Microwave Ablation (MWA) and Cryoablation procedures. The procedures are done on-site at the Omaha VA Medical Center located at 4101 Woolworth Avenue, Omaha, NE 68105. These services are solely dedicated to Veteran patients of the VA Health Care System. The VA seeks to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (HUBZone, 8(a), small, small disadvantaged, women owned, veteran owned, or service-disabled veteran owned small business) relative to NAICS Code 621512, Diagnostic Imaging Centers; size standard of $16.5 Million. The technician will provide their technical expertise and guidance in using mobile ablation equipment assisting the VA Imaging Interventionist Physician navigation solutions for complex ablation procedures in order to maximize patient safety. Services will be scheduled through the VA NWIHCS Imaging Service. Generally, the VA will provide a minimum of 48 hours notice. However, there may be emergency situations that will require same day services. The Ablation unit is required to be on-site and in the C.T. Suite a minimum of 60 minutes prior to start of case and shall remain in the C.T. Suite until procedure is completed. It is estimated that 30 procedures (24 Cryoablation and 4 Microwave Ablation) will be performed each year. Responses to this Sources Sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions and developing a potential procurement strategy. After review of responses to this sources sought notice, a solicitation announcement may be published in the Contract Opportunities website (beta.sam.gov). Responses to this sources sought notice are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond directly to any corresponding solicitation by submitting a proposal/quote. The intended contract period would be for one base year and four, one-year option periods.
