- The United States General Services Administration (GSA), Public Building Services (PBS), Northwest/Arctic Region (R10), Office of Design & Construction is seeking industry feedback from the Design & Construction industry regarding possible use of architect-led, design-build construction for an upcoming Federal project, as well as potential future projects. Please see attached Sources Sought Notice for details regarding comment submission. Project Description: In order feel the pulse of the market and industry, the GSA/PBS, Northwest/Arctic Region, Design & Construction Division is considering having a solicitation issued wherein the Architect and its engineering consultants would be leading both the design and construction of a tenant improvement project (approximately 6,400 square feet total gross area) in an occupied federal building in downtown Seattle, Washington. The A/E team would be the direct point-of-contact for the Government and be the responsible Prime Contractor of record, working as the single point of contact for the Government, managing the project�s design and construction, and as a construction manager, subcontracting to specific trades. The project is expected to have a magnitude of between $1 million to $5 million. Future project may be of similar sizes or larger.
